We had saved for about four years to go on this voyager cruise to the pacific. We wanted a family friendly cruise for our family two children 8&10. We choose to go in April school holidays as did many other families too, assuming it would be well catered for, for families.
Upon arriving on board and throughout the cruise we were plied with drinks packages and also a dinner package where we were told the children were included but on our second dinner out we found they were charging us $60US dollars at each meall for the kids, so we refused to pay. Wouldn’t go with an extra dinner package for sushi, steak place or Italian, it’s not worth the extra $$$. It soured our meal / cruise experience for sure. Drinks package at nearly $1500 USD for two adults is not worth it as we don’t drink much alcohol. Way to expensive!!
Fine dining dinner experience each night was great. Much better than the buffet. Food great, service excellent! Johnny Rockets was the best extra dining experience we had. Food was delicious and kids joined in with staff to sing and dance. Loved it so much!!! Highly recommended!

Interior
I don’t know the exact Cabin type we had but it was interior level 8 with no window. Perfect fir us with four bunks, great size, and bathroom also good size too.

Noumea
Got off the boat in Noumea, then took a bus to Lemon Bay. Had nice pizza there before going to the beach for a wonderful swim, then caught bus back. You can get your own bus there, it is much cheaper than the rip off price the cruise ship charges you, but make sure you go early and plan at least 90 minutes to get back to port as buses are running late or not turning up to collect you. Allow 10- 15 mins walk to get to / from buses and back to port in time
