Sail Date: Feb 2019

Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of cruises and have sailed over thirty times on ships owned by all the major lines from Carnival to Crystal. I am also a big fan of Celebrity Cruises. As a cruise buff I couldn’t help but be excited about the Edge. The hype promised a cutting Edge ship with innovations that will become industry standards. I bought into the hype and was more than willing to pay the higher than average ticket price.

Once onboard the first impression is that the Edge is truly a beautiful ship. Eden is without a doubt the most beautiful venue at sea. The Solarium is also well thought out. Another nice design feature are the martini glass Jacuzzis. The staff keeps the ship spotless.

As we explored the ship on the first day it seemed crowded. Elevators were slow and crowded. It was hard to find an available table in the bar areas and at the buffet. During the following days we learned that the only time the ship didn’t seem crowded was when the ship was at a port.
