Embarkation was the easiest I'd ever experienced. We used the app, so the only time we actually had to stop walking was when they scanned our faces. I'd say we went from the cab to the ship in under 5 minutes.

The ship itself was lovely. Nice flowing lines, well laid out, and lots of comfy places to sit all over the place. As a former smoker, I pay attention to smoking areas, and they were sort of lousy; one was on the top deck and so it was windy and there was no cover. The lawn area was great, and had a large screen so people could watch football or whatever. It was nice to go there for a drink later in the evening. The jogging track goes from one level to another, I don't jog but people who did really liked it. The "martini glass" hot tubs were very cool and never crowded. The magic carpet is odd. We didn't spend much time on it, as there was a lot of wind. People who had drinks in that area enjoyed it. It's close to the mast grill, so you could get a burger and eat it on the magic carpet. One of the things I really appreciate about Celebrity in general is it isn't loud. Other lines seems to equate volume with quality, which isn't the case.

Dining was great. There are multiple dining rooms, each with a theme; Mediterranean, French, American, and Italian. All have the "classic" items too. Service was excellent, and the food was great. We did't bother with any specialty dining, and you could manage reservations on the app. We never had to wait. The wine selection was very good, I had a classic package, my wife premium, and we always found something that fit.

Cabin Review

Edge Veranda Stateroom

Cabin E3

We had an Infinity veranda room. The room seemed much larger than a regular cabin as the veranda area added a a fair bit of space. The infinity veranda is a giant window. I was hoping it would be more "balcony-ish", but it wasn't. Given the choice of no veranda, or an infinity veranda, I'd take the infinity veranda. Given the choice between a regular veranda and infinity, I'd take regular. You can close the French doors, so someone can sit in that area while someone else is in the room with the AC on. We never did that, but we could. On occasion, the captain will close all the balconies which was a bit weird.

The bathroom is much larger than normal, with a long sink, so get this, two people can actually be in it at the same time. That was nice. The shower was larger than the usual, and had sliding glass doors. Yes, they provide shower gel, shampoo and conditioner rather than the it's a floor cleaner, it's a dessert topping!" one size fits all stuff.

I heard some complaints about storage, but the bags still fit under the bed, so we didn't have any problems. But then we pack light. Some of the tech was cool, like if you entered the room, the lights would come on automatically and the floor to ceiling shade separating the infinity balcony from the rest of the cabin would automatically open. I think you can change the settings, but we didn't bother. You could also use your phone to open the cabin door, but we didn't bother with that either. You got your room card when you first entered your cabin, not in the terminal

The bedding is new, so it was great. The room steward did a great job, no complaints there.

Port Reviews

Key West

We love KW but had never been there as a port. We let a troupe of people and just walked around, stopping at Garbo's Grill for fish tacos.

Cozumel

We had booked a third party excursion, but the weather was lousy, is we didn't end up going.
