We chose this cruise primarily for the destinations and tho we've never sailed on Crown we have sailed Ruby and Carribean in this class and prefer this class of ship over the newer designs. The ports did not disappoint us...We arrived and left on time with a minor glitch on Turks and Caicos which being on Super Bowl day did not affect us since our plan was to stay aboard anyways. The food was good at the Horizon buffet.....The food one of the two times we ate in the dining room was good. It is difficult to have a bad cruise...ours was good but having personally owned our own restaurant for 30 years, customer service doesn't seem up to par...A few examples....For the first 7 nights we had food and bird excrement on the balcony C374 along with dirt and soot from the previous cruise. On the 7th night my wife and I were sitting on an extended balcony when we heard the cabin above us to the right being cleaned by the steward. All of a sudden a bucket of water came crashing down from above. Jumping up I saw the steward entering the cabin above but when I yelled to him he ran. Not knowing what was dumped on us I went to guest services and talked to Valeria, I believe....But we couldn't hear one another because guest services is right next to the Atrium and the band was playing very loud. We waited about 4 minutes until we could hear one another if we yelled. She apologized to me...said they have brought this problem up before....but no one listens...Captain, I guess you might want to take a look at this one...Anyways she said she was going to notify housekeeping and have our balcony cleaned. Shortly Riu, the steward came by to see what was wrong...said he had just taken off his duty clothes...said the steward should have checked for people below...(Captain?)

Before throwing it and said he'll check in the morning. Next day, no one had still cleaned the balcony until I embarrassed him by detailing all that was left over from the last cruise..He cleaned it the last 2 days....Housekeeping needs help on this ship. The windows in Horizon Court look like a greasy spoon and common areas could use a good sprucing up.

Looking for Miller Light beer I went to 4 bars and finally found Crooners. When I asked the bartender if he had any he told me it was limited and he brought some to his bar that morning...then told me that Explorers Lounge had it and I could maybe get it there. I told him I only wanted 2 and his would work. On the morning breakfast we walked in at 8:15 for a table for two and were told they had none....We said ok we can eat at the buffet...then they said they had one...upon walking in there were about 15 to 20 open.....quick note to Princess....satisfy your customer....not your own wants....And this one goes out to the deck hands...when asked if they were going to provide Lounge covers for the Super Bowl like they do for MUTS...the answer was " My supervisor hasn't decided if he wants to or not." Really?? If he wants to or not....And again, deck crew..if it starts pouring....berating customers because they ran away from it without grabbing wet towels?? Probably not cool..
