We were expecting a relaxing leisurely cruise from CT to Durban. Due to wind the cruise was shortened by two days. In our experience not enough was done from the side of MSC to ensure the least discomfort for passengers. Firstly we were informed by SMS to be at the harbor at 8am and that embarkation would start promptly afterwards. Queuing for nearly five hours apparently due to the lengthy disembarkation of passengers on board was a nightmare. This could have been avoided had MSC taken the trouble to inform passengers beforehand that embarkation would be delayed.

Staff were not always very helpful when assistance was needed with changing of flights and hotel reservations due to the late arrival in Durban. Ship phones were out of order and cellphone reception was poor.

Prepaid wine packages (For 2 days instead of 4) were not refundable. Selection of wines on Wine packages was limited due to stock shortages according to staff. Shortage of cool drinks & beverages..
