Choose this as a first time cruise to explore other cruises. Thought that four days from Cape Town via Port Elizabeth too Durban would be a great test of the waters so to speak.

Ended up frustrated at late departure due to high winds preventing scheduled departure. More annoying was the lack of communication from MSC regarding anticipated departure as well as impact delay would make on arrival as we had already booked a return flight to Cape Town. Instead we had to rely on mixed messages from on board passengers on social media. Even the travel agent did not/could not supply updated information.

When we eventually did board two days late there was again insufficient information regarding arrival date and time. MSC eventually let us know on the day that we would disembark at lunch time. This lack of communication resulted in our having delayed our flight unnecessarily as well as extra cost including an overnight stay in a hotel.
