Relaxing break

My husband and I enjoyed getting away together, leaving the teenagers at home and having time to spend reconnecting after a difficult year.

We had booked Easy Onboard and this made embankment easy. I am visually impaired and found that I was constantly offered assistance by staff experienced in giving aid with dignity.The staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed visiting Swakopmund for an all too brief visit. The desert is beautiful and the German ambience of Swakopmund was charming.

We spent much of our time on our balcony watching the sea and enjoying the sun and sunsets. It was sheltered from the wind and very comfortable.

The piano, jazz music and vocalists in the bars enhanced the experience.

We enjoyed a day at the Spa, relaxing in the thermal area and enjoying a massage and facial.

Gale force winds meant our cruise was extended a few days waiting for the harbor master to allow us to dock. Even in these difficult circumstances the staff remained cheerful and kind and the entertainment continued. During this time we soaked in the beautiful sight of Table Mountain, Sea Point and Camps Bay.

We plan to cruise again next year.
