We chose this ship based on the itinerary and date, with the main goal to escape winter. Our group: two 50-something couples. Overwhelming: so many American children, why were they not in school? Even the comedians had to dumb-down their shows (unsuccessfully, btw) for the early shows. The late shows were much better. Disney cruise line has more for adults to do than Carnival. The adult-only area frequently had children on our trip. We will cruise a different line going forward. It just wasn't FUN.

Our wait staff and table were subpar the first night so we requested a move, which took about 20 minutes of our time, and we were assertive and persistent. Tip: Request items fresh and not sitting under the heat lamp if you want something warm and fresh at dinner. Guy Fieri's burgers and BBQ remain the best and freshest food on the ship. The coffee is strong, but marginal, and the cream and sugar are not conveniently located nearby. Room service didn't deliver my coffee the first morning, so I had to go ISO my first morning.

The poolside movies are generally rained out this time of year, and the early time movies are generally for children. Boo! We watched Antman and all I remember are moms fussing and getting up to walk in front of us every 20 minutes to get something for their kids while dad was on his phone during the movie. Read more
