This was a once a year opportunity to sail to New Zealand from Adelaide return. The NZ experience is absolutely amazing, however Princess is not living up to its name. The food quality was down, the staff seemed a lot less happy than in the past, entertainment options were so poor (except for one notable exception) and they really have cheapened up the service and options. A lot of the at sea activities are nothing but cross selling opportunities, there is no more happy hour at 3pm or cheaper bottles of wine in Horizon Court at lunchtime. No true deals on particular days in the shops either, no in room streaming of Movies Under the Stars if you are feeling unwell or the weather is less than ideal. The ship ran out of a lot of supplies (basically NO Shiraz available after a few days for dinner). Don't get me wrong, the staff are AMAZING, it is just the parameters they have to operation within are shrinking to the usual "profit before people' paradigm unfortunately. Even one of our party who was vegan was told "we need to do the numbers before we can confirm your request" (for VEGAN food, very basic).
