Chose this cruise for the ship and the itinerary. We were on this ship when it was new. Ship seems very much the same. Ship was clean and rooms were spotless. Food was mediocre in the main dining room not due to the menu but perhaps with poor quality meats, with a few exceptions and Murano was wonderful. We ate in Murano 5 nights and it never disappointed. The ports were very boring and long drives in bad weather. We mostly liked staying on the ship. The entertainment was fair to good from what we saw. We met a lot of very nice people and it was fun. I would not choose South America for a fun destination. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a five was because of the MDR and the poor ports. The service was very good except in the Ocean View cafe. It was very difficult to find someone to clean the tables, although the food was very good. The Martini Bar was excellent.
