We took this cruise because our friends really wanted to. Wasn't on our bucket list but we were game. In the end we enjoyed ourselves but it wasn't what I would call the cruise of a lifetime. Our overall take back is the cruise companies have over extended how many people these ports can take. We were going into ports where there were up to 6 mega ships parked that could triple the size of the population. Crowds were unbelievable and it certainly wasn't a nature trip. I guess it is an easy trip for Americans to do but they need to find a way to cap off the crowds. Worse yet, we hear that there are plans to add even larger ships in the near future for these ports.

Now to Celebrity Solstice. Start with the good. We loved the suite level perks. Private lounge and dining room were worth the extra money. Cocktail time and dinner felt like a small ship experience with great service. But not really sure what the butler did or was suppose to do. Seemed to be an unneeded position.

The specialty restaurants were very good. Never went to the main dining room. The buffet was fine. Good selection but often overcrowded to the point where it was difficult to get a seat.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin was fine . Balcony wasn't great. Showing it's age. Took two days to get a tv fixed
