I agree that I don’t understand why there were such negative reviews of this cruise. We sailed from Dec 16 – 23 2018 on the Eurodam for the pre-holiday cruise to Mexico. Our cabins were 7110 and 7114, identical cabins with a small balcony. I liked that when the ship was docked in Cabo San Lucas we had a wonderful view. Lunch at the Lido on the first day had the staff serving everyone..I’d hoped this wouldn’t be the case everyday, and it wasn’t. The rest of the week we were able to serve ourselves. We are not gourmands, so the food is not something that is a highlight of our trip. We are mostly vegetarian/vegan of which are not that many options. We liked the salad bar options and also the pizza station. That said, we had a few shared meals at the MDR, most nights the wait was under 10 minutes, one night was 25 minutes or so. We went to a few shows which we enjoyed and a few talks. Most of the entertainment we enjoyed very much. I find that I agreed with another reviewer that the list of things to do during each day was not that interesting compared to other cruises we’ve taken w/HAL. The worst part of the cruise was the 2 hour (!) wait to use the tenders to get to Cabo. We’ve been on this cruise before and other parts of the world where tenders were used. This was clearly a problem and more tenders should have been used. Our week in Mexico had phenomenal weather – 80 and sunny – everyday. So don’t let other reviewers put you off, this was a fun cruise. It was my sister-in-laws’ first cruise and she enjoyed it very much and is looking forward to her next cruise.
