I've been on several cruises, Norwegian and Carnival - the staff on this ship was horrible. Our room steward and the dining room staff were the only friendly staff on the ship. There was rarely any staff available at guest services and when someone was available they were not able to answer simple questions without asking other staff members. The casino staff was constantly hovering around guests in the smoking area to ensure they were gambling while smoking and not just stopping in the casino to smoke. Smoking on all ships has become limited enough and guests should not be forced to gamble in order to smoke nor should the staff be following guests around making sure they are gambling while smoking. There was rarely any staff taking beverage orders at the slot machines and locating ashtrays was extremely challenging. The bar staff at almost every bar was rude and most of the bars seemed understaffed. In the later evening hours, the food selection on the buffet was extremely limited. The food was usually over cooked, not labled correctly and tasted poorly. There were many food items generally served on cruises of any lengthor that were not served on this ship such as escargot, lobster, etc. Please make note that this is the first time I have ever felt like I needed to write a review and it's unfortunate that it has to be a bad review. However, we were extremely disappointed with the way we were treated by the staff on this ship. I also realize that guests treat staff very rudely and did witness this myself, but I am not that guest and expect to be treated with same respect I give to others. Thank you for your time.
