We got an amazing, last minute deal on this cruise and decided it would be a nice little, weekend get-away for just me and my wife. We had and absolutely wonderful time. the Disney Dream is an amazing ship. the Crew was incredible and we had the time of our lives. And being able to get a quick glimpse of the Blood Moon was na added bonus.
We booked a GTY-5C and got Cabin 8038, port-side forward. The room was great and large. and we had more than enough room for the two of us. Our Stateroom Host, Wayan, was amazing and made sure ore every need was met. We loved our veranda. we spent every morning sipping coffee and watching the world go by. Room service was great and made sure our coffee was delivered each morning, hot and on time.
Cabanas is always great and we love the selections, especially for lunch. We think the spread is excellent with a great variety. we did visit Palo's twice (a lot for a 3 night cruise), once for Brunch on our Nassau port day, and once for dinner after a pretty good day at Castaway Cay. Brunch at Palo's is ALWAYS amazing....and MUST for everyone ever cruising on Disney. The food is absolutely amazing and well worth the extra money. We have the save server both trips to Palo's, Katia, was very attentive, and very sweet. She mad for a very exceptional experience. This was our first dinner at Palo's, and we loved every minute of it. The food was great the the setting was perfect. Sunset on the Dream during dinner made for a very special time. Our Server, Ivan, and assistant server, Bernard, at our rotational dining were also great. They were very attentive, and lots of fun. on the first night, brought out a birthday cake for me and sung me Happy Birthday. Even our head Server Rakesh got in on the act. It was a very pleasant surprise, and very un expected, but Disney seems to always go way above and beyond.
Our cabin was great. Disney has some of the largest state rooms in the industry. We've been on other cruise lines and definitely like all the room and extras. the bed was great and very comfortable. we love the split bathroom, and can't say enough about veranda. we definitely spend a lot of time sitting out there, especially in the mornings.
Weather prohibited us from enjoying the island more. But this day was still great and magical and Disney can't be held responsible for Mother Nature
