First time coming to Southern African waters - bigger ship, high expectations. Dissappointed with the overall service, maintenance of ship needs attention. Paper placed between cabin walls an ceiling. Some sort of quick solution. Not sure if it was suppose to reduce a rattling noise. Overall impression of the ship - old and used and send down to make the last bit of money from it. Was suppose to be refitted. Not the case, carpets coming loose on stairs, pulling apart from areas around the lifts, balcony had rusted spots, windows were dirty. Strong smell off tabacco smoke, smoking is allowed in certain public areas but there are no extraction systems te get rid of the smell/extract the smoke. Traveled with MSC before and had a much better experience. Let down by the overall experience. The only positive was the friendlyness of certain staff members. Well not travel with the company in the future.
