First time on Liberty and the very last. It was so disappointing that our next cruise won’t be booked with Carnival at all. So much was wrong with it.

The halls were stinky. Smelled like sewage everywhere. One bar smelled so bad that I didn’t even feel comfortable standing in the area. The rooms are outdated. The drain in our shower was super slow and would flood outside of the shower room making the entire bathroom floor wet. We never met our cabin steward. He never introduced himself. We saw several men outside the room with carts but none of them ever spoke. I pre paid gratuities and this experience is the reason why I will NEVER EVER do that again. The pools looked disgusting. Several had rusty ladders and just looked old and in need of cleaning. Some pools and hot tubs weren’t working at all the entire cruise and the hot tubs that we tested weren’t hot at all. The pool area on the Lido deck just looked small and unappealing all together. We had dinner in the steakhouse the first night and were never told about the bottle of free wine or the 50% off a bottle. We asked about it on the way out and they simply told us we were supposed to have the wine for dinner and couldn’t take it out of the dining area (so in other words too bad for us). Other than that part the food in the steakhouse was the best the entire cruise. The food in the buffet was disgusting. I made entire plates and wouldn’t like even one thing on it. Pirates pizza was disappointing because they wouldn’t give out a whole pizza, only half. If you asked for more they looked at you like you were crazy. Once I just had to grab two plates to make a whole pizza because they wouldn’t offer it. Sometimes they wouldn’t even ask what you wanted, just come to the front with a bunch already made and see if you’d choose from what they had. Sea Day brunch was mediocre for what we’re used to. Several of the things we ordered were left out, my SO’s order came out wrong and it took until after our meal for me to get my mimosa. 20 minutes after actually after having to go to the front and complain about it. Only once I told them that I wanted to cancel the order did they finally bring it. The ship was also very boring to us. On our day at sea there were big blocks of time where it seemed like absolutely nothing was going on. At all. Then we couldn’t order movies in the room which sucked so we literally just sat there talking and playing cards for hours to pass the time. This is how we found out that room service was actually pretty good for the most part. I couldn’t find a good dessert on board for the life of me. Everything tasted as if it had been sitting in the fridge for a week.

Some good things were, we boarded pretty quickly and got our bags really fast. The beds were comfortable. The comedians were funny. The steakhouse was a good experience.

Pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable and the darkness of the room helped me get a great sleep. The shower in the room had a very slow drain and caused the bathroom to flood.
