We chose this cruise because it was port intensive....we visited 10 islands, two of which we had never visited before. Decided to get away from the cold weather and cruise in January for a change. Overall, the cruise was very enjoyable and we had a great time. Embarkation was a breeze. Got there at around 11:15, dropped off our bags and by 11:40 we were checked in and on the ship. One issue that could have caused us a major headache was the the change in port itinerary. Celebrity changed the dates of several port visits and the only official notice we received from Celebrity was a notice given to us at embarkation. Fortunately, we learned earlier of the schedule changes via the Cruise Critic Community blog for our cruise and was able to reschedule our planned trip excursions before flying to San Juan. My only other “gripe” is about the spotty WIFI. Given how much it cost, Celebrity should do a better job of ensuring a strong connection that doesn’t constantly lose connectivity. Service was good and our stateroom attendant did an excellent job of keeping our room clean and tidy. The food options in the Cosmopolitan restaurant were mediocre and uninspiring....it was quite honestly a disappointment. Specialty dining in Quine and Tuscan Grill were fantastic....those were the best meals during our entire voyage. We didn’t take any ship excursions, we chose to use local tour operators instead. We feel you get to know the island and the people better and we like to support local small businesses.
Nice cabin with extended balcony, however, the balcony is at an angle so you don’t get a full view. The room was spacious enough with adequate storage.
