I have never been on a Mexican Riviera cruise, so the route is right. Grand Princess is a cruise ship of good size and was last refurbished in December, 2016. In addition, I booked the cruise the last minute and got a good price. The food was reasonably good with decent choices and varieties. I specially liked its soups and rice porridge (congee) served daily at Horizon Court. The stateroom was clean, though slightly tight in the walk-in wardrobe area . The entertainments were interesting. The service was as expected. It is worth mentioning that during this cruise, there were 5 enrichment presentations by Dr. Gloria Auchey, entitled "Understanding Your Brain", which I found very insightful and enlightening. Each port visited offers something interesting to see and do, such as nice beaches, historic sites, animal sanctuaries, shopping, and so on. In summary, the Grand Princess Mexican Riviera is a cruise of overall good value and quite enjoyable.
The cabin is of reasonable size, though the TV is an older model with smaller screen when compared to that in Caribbean Princess and similar cabin category. The walk-in wardrobe area is tight, not easy for big baggage. Overall, it is clean and maintained clean daily.
This port provides simple pleasure in shopping and seeing iguanas. All can be done around the port.
Love to visit Catholic Basilica, but be reminded that it is packed quickly on Sunday in every mass. If miss 1pm mass, the next one is 6pm, not necessity fit your cruise ship schedule.
One does not have to go far on his or her own for beach excursion. A nice beach is in walking distance.
Many things around the port to see and do. Taking a water taxi for $5 or less for a group of 7 to see the Arch in Land's End is quite fun.
