We booked this Christmas and new year cruise 22-Dec -9th Jan-2019 as the itinerary offered places we had not been before, having travelled previously with MSC we were looking forward to this trip.
The ship sailed from Guadalupe and MSC chartered a Virgin Atlantic flight from Gatwick to Guadalupe, we were unable to book in for the flight and were advised the seats were allocated by MSC, to my horror I was not seated next to my husband and was very upset, we were unable to change seats as we were told flight was full not a good start to the holiday, and we also had the same seats on the return journey!
We booked a balcony cabin on deck 10, it was fine, well appointed, well laid out and everything in good condition. The cabin steward was very attentive. TV in cabin had no English stations other than CNN or euro news, these just repeated the same news all day. You could however purchase a film in english available at €7 each, some films were over three years old! I did query this with the reception staff who were very rude, when advising the cruise was a sold as a French Caribbean cruise the TVs catered for this!
