New Zealand summer time never lets you down it was just a pity about the balcony of the cabin.
The ship itself is lovely and the entertainment very good, food was hit and miss the kitchen trying to pass chicken pieces off as sweetbreads......both Grille and Harmony had good food but Le Mer was a very poor representation of French cuisine. Definitely go to the English Pub lunch at Grille it's the closest you would get to a true pommy experience the sausages are the best I have ever eaten and my wife had the steak and kidney pie with plenty of kidney we went both times it was on.
Drinks are super expensive we were going to do the drink package and decided not too which worked out well just limiting how much you have to drink, cocktails nothing out of the ordinary here compared to other cruise lines.
Do not get a balcony cabin at the back of the ship on Riviera deck there is no top cover and it's always covered in soot from the funnels an expensive exercise.
