This was our second Viking River Cruise. In October 2017, we went on our first Viking River Cruise on the Danube River. The Rhine River cruise was as just as enjoyable as our first one. We started our cruise in Basel , Switzerland and finished in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The tours were wonderful and the food, service, and accommodations on Viking Hlin. We were scheduled to cruise on Viking Kara, but switched to Viking Hlin because the water level on the Rhine River was low because of the summer draught in Western Europe. We were very pleased with the way Viking runs their river cruise and enjoyed every minute of it. The food and accommodations on Viking Hlin were wonderful. The entertainment on the ship was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite the low water levels, we were able to do our entire cruise itinerary and visit all the stops that were on the original river cruise schedule. Our only complaint was that it ended far too quickly.

The cabin was a little small, but it was adequate for our needs.
