The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and was happy to answer questions.  The walk was not strenuous, but the heat made it a bit difficult.

The location was in an area that was crowded and a bit run down, but the beach itself was very nice.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our excursion was piranha fishing.  The crew were friendly and helpful.  Sadly, the fish that I caught was not a piranha, but still it was a fun trip.

Santarem

The trip on the river was good, especially the canoe excursion on Lake Janauari.  We did not see as much animal life as we would have liked, but good overall.

The opera house itself was so beautiful, and our guide was very knowledgeable.

The sail itself was good -- seeing the beautiful island and two Pitons -- then swimming in one of the bays.  There was also an interesting and informative trip to a 17th century plantation.

This was an interesting ride that showed the local neighborhoods, then contrasted to the Nelson Dockyard with the lavish yachts.  The Shirley Heights Lookout gave a good insight into the reason for the early 18th century fleet harboring on the island.

Did not take an excursion, just walked around shops in the pier area.

All in all, it was the best cruise ever for us.We have cruised more than 50 times and the Viking cruises have the best of them all.
