Various friends who had made the transatlantic crossing in the past assured us we would have a fabulous time on the QM2. We didn't.
The service in the Britannia restaurant was fine but the food was not anywhere near as good as other cruise lines, Celebrity in particular. Tough steak, erratic portion control......The sommelier (who was efficient and courteous ) obviously had too many tables to look after, we were well into our starters before wine order taken.
The Kings Court was not a particularly pleasant experience. Awkward seating and chaotic. In particular the roast stations were memorable in that during the week I never actually saw anything other than scraps of dried up meat. Gave up on breakfast after two visits and used Brittania which was fine.
