After a wonderful experience on the Reflection last Fall, we booked this cruise as a last minute get away. We were excited that a last minute cancelation allowed us the opportunity to stay in a Family Veranda cabin so we could enjoy the extra large room/veranda.
The size of the room/veranda did not disappoint but the conditions of the room/veranda were terribly disappointed. We knew going into the Infinity that it was an older ship that needed some "TLC". We did not realize that TLC meant mold, mildew, rotten base boards, odors and worn out furniture. I would never have stayed in a hotel in such poor condition and didn't expect to find this on a premier cruise line. The common areas on the ship have been taken care for the most part, but the cabin not so much! I do wonder just how many layers of paint the ship can have to cover so much rust!
Some of the staff were excellent (cabin steward) but the staff in Cellar Masters were not very knowledgable of wine and what to recommend. That was opposite of our experience on Reflection.
Size of room and veranda were as advertised. A lot of room, but as mentioned above, both are in bad shape. Bathroom especially is in bad shape. It was very worn and had an odor. Worn out couches, worn out veranda furniture. Rust and mold on Veranda
