Where to begin...Upon arrival at the Manhattan cruise port, we were poorly greeted with a rapidly declining cruise staff. Although the wait was short to board the vessel, we still managed to be scolded for not following the propr seating procedures. After going through security , we came upon another pissed off NCL employee and we asked why no one was smiling and the NCL employee stated to me, "would you be happy if you worked here?". At the time we were silver rewards members but that had no effect on the boarding process whatsoever.

We venture around to discover an exciting breakfast buffet with multiple omelet station in the garden cafe. We did manage to explore the remaining breakfast restaurants to see if we missed anything. We soon discover that all the items at the buffet are also served in the other breakfast locations.

Upon booking our reservation, we had pre booked our specialty dining based on previous NCL cruises, because we know the dinner times fill up quickly. We arrived that evening to Cagneys at around 6:40pm for our 7:00pm reservation. We showed up early knowing that there will be a ling or small wait, which there were a few couples/families ahead of us. While waiting a gentleman approached the desk for cagneys creating a scene and raising his voice stating, "I am an ambassador level NCL member as well as a VIP casino rewards member." This was all because he didn't have a reservation. After the hostess sat the irate gentleman she returned and asked 3 couples including us , what time our reservations were and room number but did not take our room cards. As it approached 7:00 another couple scurried up to the desk and said they were running late for their 6:45 reservation and were seated immediately. the hostess returned a second time and asked all the people waiting to be seated in the moderno seating area. After about 15 minutes the hostess threw a receipt at my wife showing a different days reservations for moderno which was a few days later and stated that, "we did not have a reservation at cagneys tonight" and quickly ran away. With my quick thinking and with a line longer than before, I ran to the state room on deck 8 to retrieve our cruise documents with the reservations that we made months in advance. While I was in our stateroom, the phone rang and it appeared to be the hostess saying that she had found our reservations. I ran back to deck 13 to show them our reservations documentation. When I arrived back at cagneys the hostess immediately said we found your reservations your seats are ready. I told the hostess I wanted to speak with her superior. The maitre d came out and I spoke with him about the incident at hand and he did apologize. We sat there so angered we could barely eat any of our dinner. We headed to the front desk to make a formal complaint against the hostess. We did just that. Well come to find out that the hostess also works at the front desk so that was swept under the carpet i'm sure. Nothing was done about it that we knew of.
