Sail Date: Dec 2018
Cabin: Premium Inside

This was our 3rd with Costa (and 26th overall) and we had always had great experiences previously with Costa so did not expect anything different on this cruise.

We were very disappointed overall.

The ship overall was very nice. It was well maintained and decorated nicely for Christmas. Whilst the layout of the ship is not the greatest (you have to go up or down to get where you want to go sometimes) and the public toilets are not well signed, it is functional.

Cabin Review

Premium Inside

Cabin IP

Very spacious for an inside. However we could hear people walking above us on deck 11 as the walkway is directly above the cabin and also music from the pool and atrium areas. Overall a good cabin location.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Very easy to embark/debark from this port.

Palermo (Sicily)

Easy to walk off the ship and see the city.

Naples

Very easy to walk off the ship and see the city.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Port has had some upgrades over the last few years and very easy to get off the ship and on to a shuttle that takes you to a transport hub. You can either walk around from here or take a shuttle to the train to get into Rome which is about an hour away from the port.

Savona

Nice little port which is completely walkable.

Marseille

We took the cruise ship shuttle (Costa €10.95 per person) to the city centre. The port do a free one but it is a bit of a hike from the ship. The Costa one drops you off at the edge of the port (about a 10 min walk to the shopping area). Overall well worth a visit to the city.
