We chose the Breakaway for its itinerary to Mexico & Belize, plus we got a good deal. The ship was big, clean, safe and had a ton of entertainment for adults. Kids were kept busy through their Youth Programs - Splash Academy (for under 12s) and Entourage (for teens). The rock climbing wall, mini golf, sports court are all fun. The ropes cruise is fun too...with a plank stretching outside the ship (for the brave hearted). The Garden Cafe buffet was similar to our earlier cruise with Disney - felt this one had a bit more variety. The Main Dining Rooms (MDRs) were for a proper sit down experience and they were good too. Between the 3 MDRs on board, several menu items were similar with a few changes/specialties in each. There were a slew of specialty restaurants and we had an unlimited dining package for 3 specialty restaurants and we used them all and came out very happy - Teppanyaki was our best. Felt the entertainment was best suited for young adults, millennials and older adults - comedy clubs, dance, rock music, etc. There was of course a final day program conducted by the little kids on board (was fun). We just bought one ship-related shore excursion in Harvest Caye and it was the superman zipline....which was super fun and exhilarating zipping over the lagoon on one section then over the sea in the next. Stateroom service was super - cleaning and making up beds at least twice a day. Staff was pleasant everywhere with emphasis for safety and cleanliness. There were activities to chose from like quizzes, movies screenings, bingo, casino, presentations, art auctions, etc. For a quiet experience, a library on board and a game room too. Overall, a great experience on Norwegian Breakaway that met/exceeded expectations!!!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Very clean balcony stateroom with a great Stateroom Steward. Suited us well - a family of 4 with a pull out sofa bed and a drop down bed.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

Good experience in this island. Stayed on the beach, played soccer, took in the pool experience and finally, the superman zipline. For a first timer, this was exhilarating and real fun. Must do!

Costa Maya

Stayed in port and did some shopping. Ventured outside a bit but not too far. There were options for excursions but didn't do the ruins or ATVs. Chilled out.

New Orleans

Port of New Orleans was ok. The checkin area was crowded and the agent we got was a trainee :-)
