Sail Date: May 2018

Our grandaughter was in school in Stockholm at the time, and we decided to use Stockholm as a starting point with a 3-day visit with her in Sweden. We had the opportunity to visit Uppsala, where she was living and going to school, and visited other spectacular sights nearby.

Boarding and settling in on the Viking Sky for our Baltic cruise was very smooth, and we immediately felt the difference between the Viking Ocean Cruise vs. the Amsterdam-Budapest River Cruise we had done the previous year - both experiences are wonderful, but different. The river cruise is much more intimate with the surroundings, and being able to relax on deck and enjoy the scenery passing by is very special. The Viking Sky Cruise offered the same scenic opportunities, but covered so much more variety of cultures, history and geography.

The Ship is impeccably appointed, and our cabin reflected a great deal of thought and care for our comfort. We appreciated the variety of dining opportunities onboard, and found the "World Cafe" to be our favorite all-around dining venue.
