First time cruiser age 55. Embarkation was easy and went quickly. We had Faster to the Fun and was well worth the extra expense. Every staff member may a point to make eye contact, smile and make sure to help if you needed. Our interior room with king size bed was perfectly fine and certainly large enough for the 2 of us. Beds were VERY comfortable, but a chair in the room would have been helpful. Bathroom was always clean and adequate for our needs. Always had hot water! hallways were clan and well maintained. Our room steward, Juan was fabulous. Had our names memorized and called me by my preferred name the entire cruise. The ship was always immaculate. Some one with a mop and broom at all times, cleaning up spills and collecting random glassware and dishes. Punchliner comedy club was fun and we had many belly laughs, although it was quite crowded, especially on sea days. Food was excellent at every venue. We ate in Main dining room every evening and not one complaint, Our wait staff were very personable. Breakfast was good on the Lido deck at the buffet but lines were sometimes long until we discovered the express breakfast area...very nice and did help with some of the congestion. The buffet was usually busy but we did not wait for more than 10-15 min. Guys burgers were very popular and the line moved swiftly. Try the chocolate melting cake in the main dining room, it is heavenly as is the creme brulee. the fresh breads at dinner were yummy, especially the cranberry sunflower one. Pizza Pirate was a hopping place and the pizza smelled and looked good as did the Sushi and Seafood shoppe. Did not swim in the pools, but the hot tub was pleasantly warm and never crowded. Adults only area was clean and quiet although it was shut down for high winds for a bit. Cruise activities director was pleasant and cheerful although sometimes over the top. You have a wide variety of choices in entertainment. If you are bored on this cruise it is your own fault! Always something to do from trivia game, towel animal folding, movies with popcorn, and shopping. Sometime the photographers were a little much but always backed off when you requested. I use a cane at times and all staff were very accommodating, like holding my plate as I went thru the buffet line, and sitting in dining room for muster drill. We did a trolley and the butterfly conservatory in Key West. Great way to see the town and the butterflies were beautiful. No problems with meeting up with our tour, nice and pleasant even with the cool weather and slight rain. In Cozumel I was impressed with the cleanliness of the port area. The walk was a little long for these arthritic knees to the taxi area, but there was bicycle taxis for just the cost of a tip from the ship to customs. T shirts 6 for $20. We went to Chankanaab beach and snorkeling. Was a little taxi ride to the resort, but comfortable. Food was ok, nothing special, filled our bellies after snorkeling. Was not impressed with the snorkeling, little to see as the reef is not right there. Plenty of fish though. A cold front had come thru and dumped lots of sea weed on the beach so the swim area was closed. Sea lion show was short and cute. Tequila tasting was informative and good, prices were ok but not great.

We had a tragedy with someone jumping overboard the last night. The cruise staff conducted themselves with grace and concern. Our ship returned to port 7.5 hours late which did not affect our flights, but it did a great number of passengers. Carnival took care of the flights if you were fly to the fun and provided a letter for others. They scrambled to provide activities and lunch for us and did it well.

I would choose Carnival again. I thought it was fun, good food, and pleasant friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Lots of things to do. Good value for the $. It was the week after my birthday and was given a $50 spa card which I didn't get a chance to use as we were busy most of the time.

Cabin 4E

Roomy enough for 2. Plenty of closet space. A few more drawers would have been nice and a chair. Beds comfortable, room temp good. Bathroom more than adequate.
