This was a totally relaxing, wonderful cruise. I like sailing this first week in December, the price and quietness appeal to me.
Embarkation was a breeze -- I arrived around 10:30, spent 5 minutes in the first Haven check-in, and about 10 minutes in the second area before being escorted up to the Haven. Lunch was available in the dining room there, or at Jimmy Buffets. My bags were brought to the cabin before we had the required safety meeting, so I had everything unpacked and put away prior to sail away.
I upgraded to The Haven, and it was marvelous. Had Penthouse Cabin 16710. So much storage it was unbelievable. 2 closets, 9 drawers and everything was ship-shape perfect. The bathroom was large, with double sinks. The shower/tub was nice, although the tub is pretty deep, and could cause a little concern when getting out. Luckily the vanity was right there to help with that.. The bedding was fantastic -- great linens, loads of pillows, and the mattress was perfect. Also provided were Bvlgari shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Every afternoon a little plate of goodies would arrive. There was a fresh fruit bowl that was replenished during the cruise, and also a beautiful little flower arrangement for my enjoyment. The balcony was small, but it was a pleasant place to sit in the mornings or late afternoon.
Excellent. See above description. My cabin was on the Starboard side, and I would have enjoyed the Port side better, on those days when we were in port.
