My wife and I have been wanting to go on a cruise for years but never had the nerve to go cold-turkey. A couple at church mentioned that they were going on their 4th Cruise and invited us to join them on Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas.
Our travel agent helped us select a basic cabin on deck 2 that had a view to the ocean. The room was about the same size if a typical hotel room and was adequate for our needs. We did read up on a lot for the Cruise Critic email that had many suggestions on how to make better use of the room. The magnets really made a difference. I even used one to hang my seapass when it was not around my neck.
The dining was fabulous, we used the buffet for breakfast so we wouldn't miss our shore excursions. We utilized the MyDining, but make reservations on the first day so we would have the same waiters each day. Our waiters we the BEST. Agnelo (from India) and Alejandro (from Philippines) were very attentive. The choices of entrees were so good that there were times we could not decide which one to order, and Agnelo would order two entrees (or desserts) for us!
The process to board the ship was delayed a couple of hours due to the previous cruise departure delays. Was not because of Royal Caribbean but Customs.....
