Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Veranda

The ship is beautiful and decorated in a unique style that leans more to contemporary. Our Deluxe Oceanview cabin had a huge round opening where the top half was open and the bottom served as the railing for the verandah. The verandah was EXTREMELY small with just enough room to sit and not move in the 2 chairs w/mini table. Unlike other

ships. the chairs on the verandah were padded and pretty stylish. The bathroom was gorgeous. Now to the cruise itself. The food quality in the dining rooms and even at the buffet was really, really good and the service/staff were superior. Always smiling, energetic and upbeat. We found the evening shows to be poor. One night a guy singing songs we have never heard except for an occasional Bruno Mars song. Another night a woman singing with backup but she seemed to be pushing a message about equality; me too; etc.

We don't attend shows to hear messages about how one should think/behave. Basically the shows had little to no dancers and seemed to rely a lot on technological moving screens behind the singer. Many people walked out during the shows. The other negative was other than casino or lounging at the pool, there was nothing to do on sea day. There were hourly things listed but there were auctions, lectures on face care, acupuncture-all things that lead to selling you products. No bingo, pool games, trivia contests, no library. I think if you have more than 1 sea day you will be bored. That said, overall we did enjoy it and would book the Edge again.
