We chose this cruise solely based on price. We've been on dozens of cruises with all the major cruise lines. We knew going in that it was an older ship, and mainly just wanted a nice few days away from the cold weather. There were some things about this cruise that pleasantly surprised me and other things that were disappointing.

Embarkation

The embarkation was one of the easiest we've ever done. They let you schedule a time to arrive at the port. Miami is a pretty easy port to navigate. We walked right up and a woman scanned our pre-printed tickets and directed us onto the ship. There was no waiting or anything. They said our rooms wouldn't be ready until around 2pm so we went to the buffet. At around 1:15pm they called out to everyone and said our rooms were ready.
