Local departure made it tempting...bad choice as to many days at sea (8 out of 13), next time look for younger travellers with more mobility and better itinerary as all ports visited required additional travel to see attractions. Next time fly then drive, less wasted time sailing and attracting can be better seen. Cabins/ ship showing age, cabin floor sqeeked during rough weather (3 m swells). Embarkation at Station Pier a nightmare suggest leave taxi outside and take own cases to drop off to avoid extra taxi charges as taxi locked into a line without a way out except wait for those in front to clear. Choice of travel time to avoid unpredictable wet weather highly recommended. Maybe Feb (not Nov/Dec). Ship tours expensive with weather impacting. Akourura is actively negative to cruise ships, pollution, people, no money to upgrade, trying to preserve French character which is already depleted so suggest cruise lines avoid their outdated facilities and why go there if community has negative feelings
