To start with my wife an I have been on more than 30 cruises, and sailed on all the major brands. RCCL is generally our favorite. No matter what happens we general go with the flow and have a good time. This was our second trip on the Freedom of Seas. First one was from Miami in April.

Having sailed as many times as we have, we notice subtle changes that some might not. To us it appears that RCCL is getting cheap and greedy. They continue to build bigger and newer ships with all the latest bells and whistles, but they also continue to charge you for every little item they can.

We flew to San Juan the day before and got our own hotel at Marriot near the port. Everything went smooth. Had a nice dinner at a local restaurant. The next morning we shared a cab with another couple who were going to ship also. They drop us off at baggage drop off area. The line was very long and moving slowly, I quickly found out why...people continually kept cutting in ahead of us. When I said something they wou,d just ignore me. We finally get close to front of line just to be told we were in wrong line because we were midship. We were directed to another line for a second 15-20 minute wait. Once again the line cutters ruled. The port needs to have better signs directing you which line to be in.

Suitable and clean. Starting to show some wear, but overall not bad.
