Sail Date: Nov 2018

We just returned from our 8 night Southern Caribbean cruise on the Royal Princess. It was a great vacation. It was our first time sailing on Princess after having previously only traveled on the Disney Cruise line. I can't say that Princess delivers quite the experience Disney does but I can't justify the extra money for Disney. It's just not that much better unless you are traveling with small children, which we were not.

Embarkation: The process was simple to drop off bags and to check in at the terminal. The actual wait to board was longer than I expected and, other than water, they had nothing to offer while we sat there until an hour after the time we were supposed to board. However, once we made it on board, our room was already available and everything was great.

Cabin: We had a balcony cabin on the Aloha deck. It was not exactly roomy but it was more than sufficient for our needs. The bed was very comfortable and our steward was great. He was always very quick to make up the room and he met all of our needs. My only complaint with the room was a TV that didn't work properly and it took a couple of calls to get if fixed.
