Saturday September 1st and we were in Southampton about to board the Celebrity Silhouette cruise ship we were on our first ever cruise and we were going to visit the Norwegian Fjords. There was a fair bit of apprehension and even more excitement at the prospect.
The boarding process was smooth and efficiently done and we were on board in no time at all.
It was a wonderful sunny day, so before we sailed, we had lunch in Oceanview restaurant, sitting on the outer deck. Shortly after that we attended an evacuation procedure demonstration in theatre, attendance was mandatory.

Our cabin was equipped with all we needed, a safe, air-conditioning, hairdryer, umbrella, bathrobes, tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a small mini bar, not included in our package, this was a chargeable service. We also had a balcony with chairs and a table.
It was also serviced ever day, clean and comfortable.
