We picked up this cruise as part of a timeshare promotion. The travel dates were convenient to our work schedule and we were avoiding going to Mexico or Cuba. We upgraded to the porthole room. I was very happy with the porthole, as its primary purpose was to give us a daylight wake-up call. Last cruise we had a window, which we couldn't see out of anyway.

We chose early seated dining. No complaints. Service and food were good. I was a little surprised that they nailed the jerked chicken wings. We really enjoyed the hot Jamaican coffee.

The alchemy bar was cool, with neat drinks. The bartender could have used a personality infusion.

Cabin Review

Porthole

Cabin PT

We were happy with our cabin. Felt a little larger than the window room we had on the last cruise. Our cabin steward Fredie was excellent, proactive without being intrusive. He suggested that we change our cleaning time from evening to morning then he was like a ninja, quickly tidying up the room without ever being seen. He always checked up on us when we met in the hallway.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We walked over to Eden Rock Dive Center, rented a locker and had an excellent time snorkeling the reef. We took lots of pictures and video, saw plenty of wildlife. Then we rinsed, changed, and went shopping. Eden Rock will be our go-to spot whenever we're in Grand Cayman.

Miami

All we did here was transfer from Fort Lauderdale and get on the ship. Customs was slow, but what do you expect?
