The itinerary of this 28-day Cruise was the reason for taking this cruise. It was a great way to see Australia in a relaxing atmosphere. Having done many cruises with Princess, we looked forward to a great trip. The check-in process for embarkation was the quickest we have ever experienced. We got to the capitol cities in each of the Australian states in addition to several other cities/towns.

Our biggest disappointment was the choices given on the dinner menus. In addition, we found much of the food bland &/or tasteless. On many evenings, we were hard pressed to find something that we wanted to eat. We have never been this disappointed on any other Princess ship.

The entertainment was exceptional, although it was difficult to get into the theatre at certain times for certain shows. The shows (production numbers, singers, comedians, musicians, etc.) were all wonderful & most enjoyable. The production numbers on Princess ships (their own singers & dancers) are always very well done by very talented performers.

Cabin Review

Oceanview

Cabin OC

The cabin was larger than the balcony staterooms. We had two chairs, a large desk, more than ample storage, & a large window. The window was very dirty & was finally cleaned about halfway through the cruise. Other than a very dirty window, our cabin was very comfortable. Having a terrific cabin steward always is a plus & ours was wonderful.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

We arrived in Sydney a day early & did the Hop On/Hop Off bus on our own.

Albany (Australia)

We took the ship’s shuttle to the CBD & walked around the town on our own. Enjoyed the little tow.

Perth (Fremantle)

We took the ships’s shuttle into Fremantle & walked around the town, visiting the prison. After Fremantle, we took the train into Perth & rode the CAT around the city.

Broome

The ship’s shuttle took us into the CBD, where we did the Hop On/Hop Off which took us to Cable Beach at one end of town & the museum at the other end.

Cairns

Here, too, we took the Hop On/Hop Off following the entire loop before deciding where to get off.

Darwin

Took the Hop On/Hop Off from the visitors center which was the drop off spot for the ship’s shuttle. We’re able to do the entire loop before deciding where to get off & back on.
