I chose this itinerary because it worked with my schedule and it was better priced than most others b/c it was a repositioning cruise. I have traveled on all the major lines and I knew I wanted to try Celebrity again. My goal was to relax the ports of call were not very important to me.

I was hesitant choosing Summit because of her age. I read both good and poor reviews. I also didn't want a mega ship - navigating on those ships is frustrating and I don't care about the "rockwall" type features.

Ship: I was pleasantly surprised at how well the ship itself looked. As other reviews said, you saw some wear but nothing terrible (that i saw). Its not a very large ship and usually I adapt to ship surroundings very easily but I had some navigating challenges at times. All the windows and glass surfaces were dirty (expected on a ship but seemed excessive). I did not care for the "Smell" of the cafe where all the buffets were - it smelled dirty. There was also a foul smell at all toilets (in cabin and in public spaces). But i am nitpicking. Read more
