We had been to Croatia on our own, driving a car, 30 years ago. It was fascinating to see how it had changed (and how it had not changed) since then. We had a delightful time, met some interesting people, enjoyed the excursions as well as the time to explore on our own.
We have not been on many cruises and the fact that Le Lyrial was a small ship was appealing to us.
The food was very good and beautifully presented. We found the food choices in the casual dining area were much more extensive than the formal dining room and wish we had eaten more dinners there.
The room with the toilet smelled like urine when we arrived. It never improved. Many of the towels were showing their age ("fringes", etc.). The towels handed out for the excursions were in better shape than some we had in our room.
Otherwise the cabin was very nice, bed was comfortable. Maid service was excellent.
We were disappointed that you could not see when sitting on the balcony. What's the point of having a balcony if all you can look at is a wall?
