Embarkation, smooth, easy, peaceful. Disembarkation was a mess, we were asked to change sides of the ovation theater 3 times. We told them to figure it out, and then tell us what they decided. Our letter said one place, the man in charge another and the lady sent the 4 of us across the room, all with our bags and 3 suitcases.

The main entrees were good but anyone with teeth problems would like the potatoes and vegetables cooked not almost raw. At one point we were about 30 in line to get into the dining room, just maybe they need two hostesses to get people seated, when we left same long line waiting. People don't like to wait in lines especially elderly with bad knees and people with small children. Then you can't tell who is in line for the dining room and who is waiting on an elevator. This was our 9th cruise so it had been a step down from past cruises. I would recommend different color carpets on the odd hall way and the even hallway. There are signs facing the stairs, but none as you leave the elevators. Ports and excursions were interesting, fun but there need to be more golf carts available for those who are walking with canes or artificial hips. Cabin, bathrooms, beds, deck all wonderful no complain, the rooms were clean and well attended. The restrooms near the restaurant had stalls with doors 3 inches from the toilet seat. One other big disappointment, the shows, it was artificial pianos and guitars and lip sinc to the songs. The country was not distinguishable from the pop songs. So disappointing, the activities for kids was the best, the snacks and movies and the excursions were well enjoyed by our teens.

Cabin Review

Premium Vista Balcony

Cabin 9C

Cabin was wonderful, bathroom was full size, teens loved the dress up mirror in the closet. Plenty of shelves and closet space. Only one thing we really missed, and that was our recliners. Again it's an age thing, better for our legs if we had recliner and could put our feet up. We used the stools but they were a little higher then a recliner would have had our legs. The rooms were clean and neat and always had spare towels.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

The park was wonderful the view is wonderful, the water slides were not working. Our teens enjoyed the pool and service to the cabana's were great. In the future you might want to consider stairs into the cabana hot tub and a hand rail. The water mist system over the deck was not functional.
