Traveled with children

Normally my husband and I prefer longer cruises, but this was the first time we'd taken our kids (ages 8 and 6), and we weren't sure how they would do. So we decided a 3-day was the way to go, just to find out how they liked it.

The verdict is in -- they LOVED it and are begging to go back.

Embarkation was ridiculously easy. Our time slot was at noon, and we'd left the Queen Mary hotel (next door) by 11, thinking we would need time dealing with parking in the garage. We were parked 2 minutes later. Because we had almost an hour left before our time slot, I suggested that we walk over to the water and take some photos. That killed another 10 minutes, so I decided to have us just go through the "early" line, hoping that the wait wouldn't be long.
