We took the msc Lirica for 7 nights med. cruise. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and quality Italian and international cuisine. (as the brochure stated).

The food was below average to poor.

At the dining rooms the food portions were very small, tasteless bland and luke warm, but often cold. I left most of the meals. We decided to eat at the buffet as was told food better than the dining area, but it was like being in a zoo being pushed and shoved around by people trying to get to the food! It was hectic, fast food, cafeteria, limited choice and poor quality luke warm/cold food. Chicken in parts were pink with some blood, steak was tough, stew grisly and bony, pasta pasta bland and overcooked. Breakfast the scrambled eggs tough and tasteless like cardboard, bacon strands of fat, yoghurt sweet and watery, even the italians moaned bout the food.I left the food, just picked at it to keep me alive!
