Barcelona: Here you can take a shuttle to the World Trade Center hub. Also plenty of taxis are available at the shuttle area as soon as you get off the ship. Once we got to the World Trade Center we took a hop on hop off bus...we did both routes which took about 2 hours each but it gave us a good overview of the entire city. Not to miss: La Sagrada Familia. Park Guell was just ok. We enjoyed exploring the Gothic Quarter.

Ibiza: This is an easy walk to the terminal where you can hop on a shuttle to take you into the city. When we were planning our trip to Ibiza, we wanted to rent a jeep for the day but were told they were all sold out. When we arrived at the terminal we saw plenty of taxis and a few car rental places and were able to rent a jeep on the spot! So we drove to a small beach area (Cala d'Hort) that was absolutely beautiful. We had lunch there and found a nearby trail (15 min walk) that led to stunning views of the coast below. We drove back into town for the afternoon and had no trouble finding parking...we walked up to the old castle (D'alt Villa) and then drove through the narrow downtown area. Just a head's up...even though we had a map, to get around the island was a bit more difficult than we anticipated because not all the roads on the map were marked. If you just want to shuttle into town for the day, there is a ocean front promenade with restaurants and shops and the old castle is within walking distance to explore. Ibiza was also one of our fav ports.

Cartagena: This is easy to DYI. The city is very close walking distance, easy to get around town to see the sites. By the way, the "sites" in all of these towns includes ruins of some type, old castles and cathedrals, and narrow quaint streets with shops and restaurants which serve paella and sangria!

Malaga: We skipped the shuttle thinking the walk wasn't too bad, but it took a good 30-40 minutes to get to town. Once there, we did a 2 hour segway tour that gave us an overall view of the city and then we were able to spend the afternoon returning to the sites that interested us. This was one of our favorite ports.

Gibraltar: Easy walk to downtown, but can take a shuttle. We booked a 4 hr tour through Viator and saw all the main sights. Just a head's up...we were to meet up with the tour bus at a location called Coach Park which wasn't easy to find. Give yourself extra time to meet up with an outside tour group!

Villefranche (Nice, Eze, Monaco): Here we tendered in, which went smoothly. Had no plans but knew we wanted to explore Eze and Monaco. Once we arrived at the dock there were plenty of taxis..fare to Eze 40 Euro, fare to Monaco 70 Euro. Be sure to always ask the fare before you get in the taxi! Our driver offered to take us for a 4 hour sightseeing tour for 280 Euro which we agreed to and it turned out great. He took us to the places we wanted to go and dropped us off exactly where we needed to be and was waiting for us when we were done. Eze has an old medieval castle/village up on a hill which has been converted into upscale restaurants and shops and art galleries. We then went to Monaco and walked around the palace area and after that we went to Monte Carlo and walked around the casino. Beautiful and interesting place..lots of gardens and statues.

La Spezia: Here we had plans to take the ferry up the coast of Cinque Terre but the towns had been shut down due to flooding and boats were not operating due to rainy weather. Still were able to take the free shuttle into downtown La Spezia for shopping and sightseeing

Saw the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, The Spanish Steps.

Stumbled into a wonderful church, Our Lady of the Well, the Sanctuary of S. Maria in Via Largo Chigi-00187 Rome. This is a chapel which has been built over a well where a piece of stone bearing the image of the Virgin Mary was found in 1256. You are able to drink from this well today or take the water to sick to obtain graces and cures. Enter the church and go immediately to your right.
