Chose Paul Gauguin and French Polynesia as that destination was on our bucket list. Had independent air travel so waiting almost 12 hours by the cruise port was a drag. However embarkation was a breeze compared to larger ships.

If you are looking for a floating resort to wow you with headliner names and fancy facilities like an ice rink or water slide, this is not the ship for you. If you like the smaller ship atmosphere along with learning about the local culture, this is an excellent choice.

We ate most of our meals at the Veranda where we received excellent service and delicious food. We tried the main dining room a few nights and had a great experience there too.
