Our travel agent selected Norwegian for our cruise in Alaska. Seward AK to Vancouver, BC. Our first time on Norwegian and was very pleased to find the ship very clean and well maintained with an outstanding staff. My wife and I have cruised with Carnival three time and Princess once. Our last two Carnival cruises were really bad. Dirty ships, poor staffing and very poor maintenance. We just loved the Norwegian Jewell. Very easy to embark and disembark, very clean rooms with a wonderful room steward. Our waiter Gede was the best, very professional with a great sense of humor. He would have our drinks ready as soon as we sat down and knew that I was Gluten sensitive All by memory. The entertainment on board was very good with plenty of things to do on board. The shore excursions were outstanding giving us a real true Alaskan experience. .The staff were all very well dressed with clean uniforms and the cruise line provided hand wash all over the ship and at the entrance to the dinning rooms. A young lady at the door "Washy washy" If you asked me would we go again.....yes in a heart beat and plan to do so in a year or so. Big difference between Carnival and Norwegian.
Last item. A bar Tender at the Whiskey Bar was outstanding and funny. A real entainer. In general all the Bar Tenders were great.
The cabin was very clean and well maintained. It was cleaned thorally every day and spotless. We had a very friendly steward who did a great job to satisafy our needs.
Off the ship; Spent the day walking around the beautiful waterfront, Stanley Park and Gastown. Beautiful city
