We were taking a trip to London from the US and wanted to see more of the British Isles without taking several flights, driving on the opposite side of the roads or dragging luggage on trains. So a cruise out of Dover to see Jersey, Wales, Dublin and Edinburgh seemed to be a great solution. After spending 3 days in London, we hired a car to take us to the cruise port in Dover.

We arrived pretty early at the port so the boarding area was not busy at all and we had just a few minute wait.

The Pacific Princess was much smaller than any of our other 5 cruise ships so we wondered what type of guests we would see and how the small ship would compare. We really enjoyed getting to meet and be able to spend more time with new people and getting around was very easy. The weather was cool the entire 8 days so we didn't get to use the outside activities on the boat much except one afternoon when it was sunny and not too windy (but still low 60's F). We did the segment of this cruise that was 8 days from Dover back to Dover.
