We choose Avalon for our Rhine River Cruise so that we could get a very European feel to our experience. We did not want to be around only Americans and knew that Avalon passengers come from many Enlgish speaking countries from around the world. We got to know guests from Australia, the UK, and Canada to name a few.

The food was wonderful thtoughout the cruise. They offered regional speciaties as we traveled, focusing on specialties for the locations we were visiting.

We picked this cruise line in part to exerience European cuisine.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom with Half-Height Windows

Cabin E

The cabins were well cared for and comfortably furnished. The cabin was tight but storage was more than adequate for our clothing. We happened to be on the oldest ship in the fleet and were told that this ship was in its final season with Avalon, having been already sold to another cruise line. This was our second Avalon cruise and can say that the newer ship previously had a much more spacious cabin.
