Alaska was on our bucket list. Princess does it best. This cruise fills in a lot of blanks....scenery, wildlife, shore tours, glaciers, whales, etc. , along with the great Princess pampered touch and dining service. The Coral Princess was the perfect fit for this cruise. We did not suffer from overcrowding or claustrophobia. Embarkation and Debarkation went smoothly without long queues or standing for any length of time, The Provence Main Dining at the early sitting worked wonderfully for us with six of us sharing the same table each night exchanging details of our daily excursions and activities as well as getting further acquainted. We were able to catch the early 7:30pm shows most evenings. Entertainment was varied and well received throughout the voyage. Comedian Eric Lyden got us going the first night with his version of cruising hysteria. On the third night we were enthralled and mesmerized by Master Illusionist and Americas Got Talent Finalist Jonathan Hawley's Magic.
In all it was a great voyage. Our balcony stateroom on the starboard side provided great picture taking views for the northbound cruise. We had a sense of royal treatment throughout.
Great value with a great view (the obstruction of view was minimal and did not detract from our experience). Did not feel at all claustrophobic. Very clean and comfortable. The starboard selection was best for the northbound cruise. Our steward, Michael, had the most congenial beaming smile and attended to our needs with impeccable timing.
Stayed one night pre-cruise at the Abercorn Inn in Richmond. They offered complimentary breakfast and shuttles from and to the airport. We connected with the ship via Princess transfer from the airport on the morning of departure.
Awesome scenery.
